Cécile Renouard

Cécile Renouard is a French philosopher, business-ethics scholar, and co-founder of the Campus de la Transition, an innovative living-laboratory for ecological and social transformation. She directs the CODEV research programme at ESSEC Business School, where her work explores how enterprises can assume genuine ethical, political, and ecological responsibility within a deeply interdependent world.

A professor at Centre Sèvres – Facultés jésuites de Paris, and a teacher at institutions such as Mines Paris and Sciences Po, she brings together rigorous scholarship, field research, and practical experimentation. Her publications on corporate responsibility, the commons, and the “grande transition” have become reference points for rethinking the role of organisations in a time of planetary crisis.

Renouard’s contribution to the Third Attractor landscape lies in her capacity to bridge systemic ethics with real-world institutional innovation, offering a grounded vision of how businesses, communities, and educational institutions can participate in shaping a regenerative future.
